Spain Alicante
Location
Alicante is located on the eastern coast of Spain, and
enjoys sunny weather all year round. With a population of
over 300,000 Alicante offer much. It is a modern resort
city, yet also stepped in historical attractions. It is a
lively and interesting costal city. There is find plenty
of pulsating nightlife, delicious local cuisine and a wide
range of activities to indulge in this city. Come and bask
in the charming atmosphere of Alicante and you may end up
discovering your latest favorite holiday destination.
At Alicante, visitors will find some of the best beaches in
Spain such as Playa de San Juan. The sandy Almadraba and
Albufereta beach are ideal for water sports such as sailing,
jet skiing and windsurfing. The last of the city's beaches
is Saladar, broad, sandy and open. The pedestrian walkway
here gives panoramic views of the bay of Alicante.
Our School
Our school is part of the
University
of Alicante. With a population of an 33.000 students (out a
total population in Alicante of 300,000) you can understand
why Alicante ‘hums’ . It is a true Unissrity city! The
University is located only 5min from the centre of Alicante
in a modern complex of approx. 1 million square meters.
The Spanish language courses for foreigners are held in the
main campus of the University. It is the International
Relations Centre that is responsible for the Spanish
language course as well other language courses for Spanish
students.
Spanish Language Courses
at Alicante University
Alicante
University offers both short and long term courses
throughout the year. The short-term courses are monthly
courses and students can choose between 15 or 20 class hours
per week. The long-term courses has a duration of 3 months (ie
a semester)
The main difference between the 15 and 20 hour courses is
the additional subjects available for the 20 hour course.
The 15 hour course will only focus on Spanish grammar and
vocabulary whereas in the 20hour course students can select
one of the additional subjects below for the last 5 class
hours each week. Written and oral comprehension (which is
mainly for students at the lower Spanish levels), Spanish
Business, Spanish culture and civilization, Spanish cinema
and Spanish literature.
