Spain- Herradura Location La Herradura is a small, quiet village situated in a wonderful bay between two cliffy mountains, Punta de la Mona, and Cerro Gordo. Previously the village has been a fishing hamlet, but today it has grown and developed becoming a very attractive residential area for the Spanish to live and learn. The long beach offers numerous activities such as various aquatic sports, paragliding, tennis and also other mountain sport all year round, the richness at the bottom of the sea has La Herradura a perfect place for diving. La Herradura has many “Chiringuitos” (typical beach restaurants) where you can taste the gastronomic specialities of the zone. The School Situated on the sea front, our school is in a new building, and there are 4 comfortable classrooms, a leisure/study room with a library and computers with free internet access, and office, two bathrooms and a beachfront terrace with benches where you can relax in between classes and enjoy the sea views. The school is situated in a quiet area, 5 minutes walking distance from the centre of the village, and can be accessed by foot from anywhere. The Highlights We offer many extracurricular activities, which are a perfect way to practice you Spanish and also give you the opportunity to discover the local and national culture, and meeting new people. You can try your hand at any, or all, of the activities we have to offer, including land, water, air or snow activities such as caving, trekking, tennis, horse riding, jeep and survival tours, canoeing, rafting, diving, snorkeling, water skiing, paragliding, hot air ballooning, igloo construction, as well as weekend excursions and dinners, cooking classes, theatre and dancing.  Not to mention our many “fiestas”! The Programs We offer Spanish Courses, or a combination of Spanish and Sport courses. Our Spanish classes are taught entirely in Spanish, and can be booked all year round.  There are classes for beginners, advanced, and all those in between, and there are no more than 8 students per 55 minute class. Our Spanish Courses include a choice of Intensive, One to one and Commercial, Mature adult/Resident courses. Accommodation Spanish families Living with Spanish families is one of the best housing options you can choose if you really want to learn Spanish.  You’ll come to feel right at home with the family, and continue to use your Spanish and practice with them well after class. Apartments You can choose to live in an apartment, allowing you to have more independence.  The apartments are situated in the city centre, most are less than a 15 minute walk from the school.  Each is fully furnished and has a washing machine, a TV and bed linens.  We feel this is an ideal option for living with students of different nationalities and getting to know each others cultures.  You can also choose to live alone.
