Venezuela Playa Colorada   Location Playa Colorada (‘Colored Beach’)  is a small beach settlement, 30 minutes east of the city of Puerto La Cruz. Once at ‘Playa’ you will often wonder why it seems so familiar – the reason is this spectacular beach is much photographed. Almost every guidebook from Lonely Planet to Footprints has a photo of Playa in it! The beach is a golden sanded, and stretching in front is the 32 islands the make up Mochima National park. It is an adventurous paradise – and also a paradise for those just wishing to relax, soak in the sun, or take a dip in the warm Caribbean waters. Our school is also our lodge, and located directly in front of Playa. You could be closer! The lodge is extremely attractive, constructed in traditional Warao Indian form. You will simply love it! The traveling classroom is a unique blend of learning Spanish and traveling adventure. From our bases at one of Venezuela’s best beaches Playa Colorada (the coloured beach!), and Merida (a vibrant, safe, student city) you take adventure travel expeditions while learning Spanish.  There is approx 100 hours (2 months),150 hours (3 months) and 180 hours (6 months) of Spanish classes 5 and 8 Week Spanish and Volunteer Service Teaching assignments at a Warao Indian school in the Orinoco Delta (based in Orinoco Delta Lodge). This was started up to give the children of the families living in the vicinity of, and working at the lodge, a better chance to integrate into our society, and also to teach them their own Warao culture. Students assist local teachers in the daily activities and lessons. In addition students are expected to help out in the lodge in the evenings. Learn Spanish & Scuba Diving (based in Playa Colorada) First Monday of the month. This program combines our Intensive Spanish program outlined above with scuba diving in the pristine Caribbean waters that lay immediately offshore Playa Colorada; base for our adventure activities. Dive programs are for beginners, single/double tank and night dives, and the full range of courses from Open water to Dive master.
